Navy vs. SMU

Go Navy! They won in overtime...

The sister-in-law's at the tailgate

The Reed Fam at the tailgate

The "girls"... Lea Anne, Crystal, Linds, me, and Morgan

Eric was very proud of his sign on his tailgate spot

Hanging out at the tailgate

The birthday boys: Wags, Radich, and Eric

Drew hates taking pictures with his mommy! Boo hoo hoo!

After I took away his drill

Somebody gave his a REAL drill (the thing weighed like 8 pounds!) and he was drilling a hole in the tree. It was the coolest thing in the world to him, but I freaked out when I walked out the door and saw that! He was also running around with wire cutters...guess when I leave him under the watch of 10 guys playing washers in the front yard after a long day of golf and beer, this is to be expected!

SOOO.....
I am playing catch up this weekend with the blog. Pregnant, home with the swine flu, and whining because it is a gorgeous weekend. Notice I just put in pictures from Labor Day weekend TODAY! Ha!

In any case, Eric turned 30 on September 18, along with one of his very best friends, Michael Wagoner (aka "Wags"). Being the wonderful wives that we are (haha), Lindsay and I planned a fun filled weekend for the Navy vs. SMU football game. Friends came in town, and it was action packed for 3 days (thus...Courtney getting run down and getting sick...but I'm not whining...lol). It was certainly a weekend to remember...one that in the end Eric and Wags certainly helped out a whole lot putting together (who knew you had to RENT tailgate spots at SMU? We just thought you showed up!) Maybe football should be left to the guys, and the party planning to the girls! We all had a blast, and in the end Navy won in overtime!

Labor Day weekend

The kiddos had so much fun dancing at the wedding! Tristan, Tyler, Sophie and Drew are sitting on the fireplace... to get them to this place took the work of 4 mommies cheering really loud! It was funny...we'll always have that little bit of annoying cheerleader in us! haha!!!

Nanny gave Drew a piggy back ride...
"Daddy duty"--Eric and Jason watching Drew and Tristan. My how Chrissy and I have grown up! = )

Drew strutting his stuff (as we try to prevent him from walking into the pool) outside the reception

The beautiful bride (Court) and I

Drew got his first toolset...and oh my gosh has it been the biggest hit! Black and Decker...Costco for $19.99...if you have a boy, it is a MUST have! All battery operated and super annoying to listen to, but I can't tell you how much fun Drew has had using his "big boy" tools!

SOLD!!! Yep, the Reeds will be moving! We are building a house, and this is the first picture we have of our lot. We were so excited to see the "SOLD" sign in front of it...it is officially ours! The move in date is tentatively the beginning of March. I know this is a week before I am due with #2, but we figured what the heck... we love a challenge! Ok, so Eric is not too excited about the move because he knows I will NOT be helping with the heavy lifting, but what is family for? Yes... Colin and Dad... y'all have to help!

A Day at the Museum

Last week Kimmy, Stacey, and I took the boys to the Children's Museum in downtown Dallas. I had no idea how we would like it, but it looked neat online, so we said... what the heck! Let's give it a try! The boys loved it! From climbing on the fire truck and playing in the sand, to crawling through tunnels and making noise with instruments... they had a blast! Within 2 hours we had 3 wiped out little boys and Drew didn't even make it out of the parking lot before passing out! On Thursdays we try to do something fun with the boys (like swimming, etc.) but now Braydon and Hudson go to MDO Tuesday and Thursday. Boo hoo hoo! Drew will miss his buddies!

Summer pics

We have had lots of fun this summer! Going to San Antonio to visit Nanny and Papaw (Drew made Papaw go up the stairs at La Cantera no less than 5 times!), doing lawnwork (with his own big boy lawn mower), going to the waterpark, etc. Okay... so by waterpark I mean going to the Tribute neighborhood splash park, and reaching through the gate to get in. Haha... it is a blast though! We have had many playdates there with Drew, Hudson, Brayden, etc. Cute boys running around the 1 ft. deep water, sliding down slides, etc.... so sweet! Drew always comes home with a lot of "oww-wie's." One mother said it just right-- "Drew lives in fast forward". Everything he does, he does fast, and with lots of passion. He RUNS up the stairs, and flies down the slide, and RUNS to do it again! Even at Gymboree, the same mom said she gets dizzy watching him go from one activity to another. My mom and I find ourselves yelling "COLIN!!!!" instead of Drew sometimes... they remind us so much of each other! Is this a good thing??? Haha... just kidding, Colin. My mother in law said it right too... Drew will always be a "participant" in life... never the bystander. Couldn't say it better myself, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Love my little boy!

Elexis and Chris get married!!!

August 15th Lex and Chris tied the knot! It was such a fun weekend... we got to see family from out of town, etc. which is always nice. Of course... it was only a few months ago that Ash got married, so it hadn't been TOO long! Nanny came in town to watch Drew and acted as our chauffer for the weekend... dropping Drew off, picking him up, etc.... it made our weekend perfect! Elexis was a beautiful bride, and Chris a handsome groom. Drew came to the reception for a couple of hours, and had a BALL! He did not want to leave... hello... candy stations??? Unlimited amounts of jelly beans??? Heaven! And of course, Markie (the Reed's neighbor who is 3 weeks older than Drew) and Drew ran around like two crazy kids. She chased him everywhere... Eric was proud... he said his son has "it". Oh geez. So as for the newlyweds..they will move just a few streets over from us, and they get to babysit ALL the time (haha...) Congrats on a wonderful wedding and fun weekend Lex and Chris!

Trip to Austin

We went to Austin a few weeks ago for Meredith's 30th birthday and to see the Freytags. It was so much fun! Drew got to hang out with Cooper (Casey and Chris's son) and Reed (Jordan and Chad's son). He entertained himself the whole time with the doggie door... it seems it was the perfect size for little Drew man! In the doggie door, around to the big door, outside, and start all over again. For hours... Whatever it takes to entertain a toddler works for me!

More Summer Fun

This pool has been fun for Drew this summer... each time we bring it out both he and Molly have a great time! Eric was home this time when we brought it out and he was "shocked" at how much water it took to fill it up (we are on water rationing in Frisco... whoops). How can I say no to that sweet face though? We turned on the music outside, brought out some cold Corona, and had a Happy Hour at the Reed house!

Gymboree Friday's

Since Drew was about 3 months, I have been taking him every Friday to Gymboree classes. Yes, I know these type of things are more for the parents than the kids (it makes us feel like we are helping their development... haha!) but Drew truly has an absolute blast there. My mom comes with me when she is in town, and loves to see how crazy and fun Drew is! It has been neat as a mommy to see him progress and "grow" through the different levels, and see how different each stage of his life is. Different, but F-U-N!!! From not even being able to sit up at the beginning, to now climbing ladders, sliding down slides, and throwing balls through the hoop! It is certainly something we look forward to every Friday!
